Passed farms fields, rivulets, wildflowers, crazy dogs and locals who pass you by in trucks giving you the farm wave. In every step and with every breath spring is in the air and Lilacs being the predominant fragrance.
A journey of discovery with no rules, expectations, time limits and restrictions. If there are rules the only one is to break them all.

Day one on the Oak Ridges Trail -Start of the Journey
Starting on the last page of the guidebook was auspicious and at a cemetery no less. Stone's cemetery a peacuful place to take abreak and take in some water. Todays walk was only 8.5 k but the scenery and smell of Lilacs was breathtaking. I didn't have enough water and stopped at Theresa's farm for a drink from her hose. Met Mike Clark who owns 300 feet of frontage and who invited me back to see the wild orchids unfold in June.
